Fourth day of Pongal celebrations in Tamil Nadu - a day of festivity visiting friends and family afar. Mahindra World School facilitated this for our dear students from yesteryears by hosting the first ever alumni meet of the school. MWS, going strong on 15, invited its alumni to be a part of the 1st Alumni Meet. A vibrant set of 76 students consented to an invite sent earlier and they made it to the school with the same expectant faces they had when they walked into MWS as toddlers or new admits.

The event was organised in the auditorium from 10 a.m. onwards with a detailed agenda circulated earlier. Following the school prayer, Administrative Officer, Ms. Yasodha T. welcomed the alumni and senior faculty member Ms. S. Lalitha delivered a special note. The alumni were led on a walk down the memory lane with a brief video presentation displaying them in action at school, in classrooms, in the lab and in the playground, clad in their uniforms.

The floor was thrown open for the alumni interaction during which members flooded the audience with titbits from their schooling years here at MWS - anecdotes about friends and teachers. The alumni expressed earnest desire to be part of such meets in the future.

The Principal delivered the concluding note providing an insight into the role of alumni in the progress of the school in the coming years. Academic Coordinator, Ms. Banshari Sengupta, shared a brief guideline about the roles and responsibilities of the alumni body.

Alumnus - Althaf A. and Alumna - Nisha Kankaliya, gave vote of thanks to the school management, Principal, Admin Officer and all teachers and staff for organizing this meet.

The alumni were then provided time to visit the campus - classrooms and playground. After a walk through the corridors, they indulged in their favourite games/sports in the ground. All members were treated to a sumptuous lunch and dispersed with promises to see them again on campus.

The first Alumni Meet of MWS, indeed is the beginning of many meets to come, mutually witnessing the growth of both the school and its students inside and outside.
